Members' Corners and forum updates / A Reminder
« on: Yesterday at 10:52:48 am »
I just happened upon this old testimony (from another forum) and surprised myself by realising that my feelings still remain much the same.
So I thought I would give it another airing.

"For my part (at 89) "I've been everywhere man" and been a lot of things.
I've never had a 'road to Damascus experience' but feel sure that I have never not believed in God in a very real way.
Nevertheless I have to confess that I first got into 'evangelical fundamentalism' at around 12-13 years of age simply by joining the little suburban Chapel opposite our house, for the purpose of getting closer to Jean, who had been my childhood sweetheart since the age of 10.
I joined the chapel's young men's group and everything grew from that.
We had such a thriving 'young people's group' that we completely filled two rows of 'pews' at adult services, morning and evenings every Sunday, every Tuesday evening for prayer, every Thursday for Bible Study, and every Saturday evening at the Young People's Fellowship held at the much larger City Chapel from which ours had sprung.
Otherwise we always did everything together, including holidays at Christin guest houses and camp fellowship.
Those were the most fantastic years of my life, culminating in my marriage to Jean at the age of 23.
A few years later everything changed when our Chapel suddenly imploded in fierce three party controversy over who should succeed its aging Pastor.
I found myself unable to take sides and became so disillusioned that I withdrew completely and threw myself into a long study of how Christianity began and developed through the ages up to the time of my beloved Chapels implosion.
Everything that I now am derives from my ever developing convictions, based on complete rejection of preconception and the search for real 'truth' which I became more and more convinced lays within an unbiased study of Matthew chapter 13."

Here is an example of the 'Pop-up' limitation that unregistered searchers can get if looking for our 'non domain based' site.

John gives us a good clue about the place they were in.  I was startled when I first realized what John was writing about.

Revelation 22:And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Here we learn that the Tree of Life is in the Holy City or in Paradise. It is not visible to mortal eyes alone.

We learn too that the Waters of Life originate there.  Going back to Genesis, we discover that the one river splits and becomes four.  That alone should tell us it's not the kind of river we see.  Streams on the face of this earth join together to form a river and rivers join to become bigger rivers.

Genesis 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Thus all nations had access to the Living Waters since it divided out and came down over the whole earth.  Currently, access is limited for many people who get enough to keep "body and soul" together so they can come to repentance and be saved.

Why did Adam and Eve make loin clothes for themselves out of fig leaves?  John again gives additional insight, I think.  Not only to cover their nakedness but also to "heal" themselves.

So where is the Holy City now?  It is still coming down, coming down, coming down.  It has been coming down since Genesis.  It is between the Highest Heaven and our earth. When the Holy City contacts the earth, we'll have the marriage of Heaven and earth.  We, here still on the earth, are to prepare ourselves like a bride gets ready for the bridegroom.

Brilliant insightful stuff, Kerry.
Your contributions are so greatly appreciated by me.

I don’t understand all the domain things , just goes over my head. I guess it would be good if we came up in a search.
Hope you and Christine are okay at the moment Mike x

Thanks Rita It may well prove to have been just as much "over my head" as it is over yours.
I'm living in the shadow of someone knowledgeable telling me I've got it all wrong.
I thought of asking Nicky but that would be unfair even though she never declines to help.

Thanks for asking if myself and Christine were OK.
Considering her cancer Christine is quite remarkable, and as for me its an age factor.
Many fail to reach 91 (my milestone in three day's time) whereas several pass 100.
I just have to be thankful for each additional day.

PS
This was brought to my attention when recently I was unable to have my daily read of the Norwich City Football Club's activities.
I then found that it was because they were not up to date in activating the annual renewal subscription of their 'Domain'.

Hi to Dave, Helen, Kerry, Rita, Pat, etc (meaning all registered Members)

To those who are interested in the technicalities, the URL for the forum presently is
https://unitedindiversity.createaforum.com/general-discussion/
which ranks it as being 'insecure' and often 'unopenable' to those who personally run the more precautious anti virus programmes.

For our site to be readily openable to all internet searchers it would need to be 'Domain based', which I guess would then alternatively show up as
https://www.unitedindiversity.createaforum.com/general-discussion/
Maybe that is why so many find that they can't access us.
I'm having a go at trying to make the change, but may have to engage my 'techno' to help.
Then, should I 'bite the dust', it will leave you all with a less restrictive forum.

I greatly appreciate having access to regular interaction so please keep posting regularly to justify my endeavours.

Mike.

Prayers and Praise. / Daily Prayer
« on: March 04, 2026, 10:01:56 pm »
This is my extended "After this manner" Pray ye.

"Heavenly Father, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Give me this day my daily bread and help me to forgive those who trespass against me
And lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil.
Be my first thought in the morning and my last thought every day
And in between may this vessel shine in all I say and do
That the world may see Christ lives in me, and learn to love Him too.
For thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory
Forever, and ever, AMEN"

Dave was a Trump supporter when I originally questioned Trump's integrity.
I hope Dave has since come to see 'The Light'.

They have arrested Princess Andrew, I really hope others will follow especially in the USA, this whole network needs to tumble - I believe other countries are beginning to hold people accountable as well.
