Thanks Kerry, a good Word, plenty for my feed bag.

Mike I'll leave the techno stuff in your capable hands but I can send you my old computers for dummies book if needed  :)  :)  :)

Rita, "How's our hockey team" a moot point at the moment, the 'management' changed our old porous goalie for a more expensive one, who has proved that he is even a greater porous one.

Glad spring has sprung for you, our spring greeting has been another snowy day this morning.
Fortunately my son in law is the garden maintenance man and his approach and mine are poles apart.
Made me smile about' washing on the line', during the war my dad would be away and I would have to pass mum wooden pegs for pinning the laundry.

Where will your cruise be taking you and B- cake with your bro' what is not to like!!!!

Sorry to hear about the friendship thing, it does take the wind out of ones sails but He is with us in these storm, I just read this morning, 'pray for those who despitefully use you' easy for me to write.

WAAAAAAAY back when, we knew a family who the Lord miraculously healed their baby of Meningitis, a bunch of nurses prayed around it's cot through the night.
Authenticated by amazed doctors.
Oh sorry about the new goalie - maybe he will improve with time. Must be a lot of pressure on someone you have paid a lot more for, they are expected to be better which must impact how they perform. Happens all the time in football as well !!!!!
The cruise leaves Southampton and heads to Portugal and the Canary Islands , 14 nights

I pray for my friend every day, she is not a Christian, I learned the “ pray for those who despitefully use you ‘ when the Lord asked me to pray for my ex - my first reaction was to have a tantrum !! ( same reaction I had when he told me to forgive him for everything, threw the book I was reading on forgiveness across the room. I did succumb and do it His way in the end.

How is your Hockey team doing Dave ?
Brighton has managed to move up a bit in the premier league, rather than fall into the relegation zone ( so that’s good I guess - better if we were higher up )

I am counting down the days to my Cruise, three weeks now. I have been so low because of a fall out with a friend of 32 years, not sure the friendship will survive ( how affairs complicate things and have a knock on effect with established relationships ) Feel like an old toy that’s just been discarded and not needed anymore.
So looking forward to being away - and I will get to spend my birthday with my twin brother - last time was when we were 60 ( will be 68 this year )

Well Spring has arrived, garden furniture out, patio treated ( good old Dan - does it every year for me, this year We stained ) flowers have come back to life, amazed I didn’t kill them last year as I don’t have green fingers !
Love being able to put washing out x

Wondering each day about the war in Iran and what it will bring , also we have a menegitus outbreak in Kent and London - mainly affecting students , two have already died. Slightly concerning. It started to spread after a night club event.
Have a blessed weekend xxxx

Hi to Dave, Helen, Kerry, Rita, Pat, etc (meaning all registered Members)

To those who are interested in the technicalities, the URL for the forum presently is
https://unitedindiversity.createaforum.com/general-discussion/
which ranks it as being 'insecure' and often 'unopenable' to those who personally run the more precautious anti virus programmes.

For our site to be readily openable to all internet searchers it would need to be 'Domain based', which I guess would then alternatively show up as
https://www.unitedindiversity.createaforum.com/general-discussion/
Maybe that is why so many find that they can't access us.
I'm having a go at trying to make the change, but may have to engage my 'techno' to help.
Then, should I 'bite the dust', it will leave you all with a less restrictive forum.

I greatly appreciate having access to regular interaction so please keep posting regularly to justify my endeavours.

Mike.

I don’t understand all the domain things , just goes over my head. I guess it would be good if we came up in a search.
Hope you and Christine are okay at the moment Mike x

I tend to think man did not have "physical bodies" like us.  I think they had spiritual bodies like Jesus had after the Resurrection.

However when they sinned, the Light in their bodies went dark.  They were naked, so to speak, so God clothed them in skin -- not skins as many suppose.  If animals had been killed to clothe them, it would read "skins" but it reads "skin."  Many translations say "skins" but it's singular in the Hebrew.

Why were they formed out of the "dust"?  Same reason that Jesus' original body had to be formed of it.  The difference was that the dust used to make Adam and Eve was not "dead" matter.  Jesus took the fallen dead dust and raised it again.
I have always believed that Adam and Eve were in a different realm before the fall , not sure I have ever considered how they actually looked , just that they were in a different place. It must be unseen by the human eye as it would have been discovered by now !!!!
Interesting thought, about skin.

Thanks RITA nice to get a feminine insight, does your grand daughter get any help from local sources?
Our friends mind is very much negative and like a roundabout replays the past.

Hi Dave,
My grand daughter has quite a few health issues, some tied in and linked to the autism, so she gets support from the GP and mental health team ( although the latter hasn’t had much involvement since she turned 18 ) My daughter is her advocate and fights her corner and understand the autism, she still lives at home.  I have noticed that she draws attention to her health issues, but in an unhealthy way. Dan and I don’t take the bait when she does this, I change the subject or focus on other things as I don’t want to give her what she craves. This doesn’t mean we don’t give her empathy at times, but it’s kind of balanced. My daughter hasn’t got the right balance yet.
Living next door has given us insight though, and we realise that autism isn’t something that you grow out of, the brain is just wired differently. So there are things that we do just need to accept about the way she acts or deals with things.

It seems in this life that it consists very much with the question "WHY".

Why did the the Lord have a two trees and a serpent in the garden, would 'man' have made better choices with no serpent and no trees????.

Because there is a lot of 'WHY" it very often develops into WHY me.
Unfortunately in most cases 'why me' is a question with no answer.
I write to a lady who's 'why me's' totally ruin her life, she's stuck with questions and seemingly no answers, a victim mentality rules her.
The only way out of 'why me' is 'what now.'
You don't heal by replaying what hurt you, you can decide to stop carrying it, what happened probably can not be undone and certainly not by continually revisiting in your mind.
Is there a path forward, we accept some things , maybe a lot of things seem to have no reason.
Is it possible to accept the hurt and move forward to heal??
I'm sure as you read this as a christian you can fill in with scripture stuff I could have written the chapter and verse.
Until she can release those hurts, there is no peace.
She is also Autistic which compounds her problem. I would value any wisdom and if the Lord lays her on your heart for prayer.
I sadly didn’t think anyone was posting on the forum- I usually hit ‘ unread posts since last visit ‘ and it comes up with ‘ no new posts ‘ ………and yet there have been.

My grand daughter is autistic and often goes round and round in loops about things, we all do at times when we don’t understand things but usually there comes a point in time when you stop playing victim and start to want to be a survivor. However I must admit that I feel pretty fortunate in my life so how can I possibly understand what it’s like living with something that makes you question ‘ why me ‘. We all have ‘ Why ‘questions about things, and often as not it revolves around the suffering in the world, but as Christian’s we know that we don’t have all the answers but we trust in a God who does.
I am so sorry Dave, no wisdom as it doesn’t matter who we are, whether we are autistic or not, we can still be full of self pity - often as not we reach a point where enough is enough and we have a desire to stop playing victim and start wanting to be a survivor, but some people just feed off the negatives in life rather than see the flip side.
That’s of no use what so ever, oh dear has my older brain started to cross over to something of an attitude issue ……………………..

Hi Dave,
I understand your weeping and wailing, If I had some affiliation to a team playing I would feel the same if they lost. I had no real attachment.
An interesting game to watch. Xx

Well Dave , that’s the first Ice Hockey match I have ever watched. How on earth do they keep an eye on the Puk ( spelling !? ) I followed with the goals, but wasn’t sure about the points being scored next to that, sorry your team didn’t win
, but as they have won the last ten I think it was quite good for the USA to get this one. ( I am all for the under dogs and it makes a change that the USA were just that this time round. Although I am kind of hoping they get beat in the football World Cup later on in the year xx

He might wind up a "princess" if he's chemically castrated. . . .

Sex offender chemical castration pilot expands
Let's remember his wife and daughters too.  So far as I know, they did nothing wrong but are still suffering.
Not sure about that Kerry , Fergie has her own issues with Epstein and the children may get into trouble , along with other Royals, if it turns out they knew about what was going on.

I just noticed that it corrected my word again !

Rita I hope you noticed we were all to polite to mention it BUT it gave me a hearty no  beard chuckle, I thought maybe a bit Appropo ,if I knew what that means, maybe !!!!

I didn’t notice it the second time either Dave.
He acts like a princess as times, especially with his teddies on his bed. They have to be placed in a certain order and if the staff get it wrong he gets really angry. I tried that with Dan once, so he threw my furry friends across the room !!!! lol

I kind of have the opinion that anyone can have power, unless God decides it’s time they don’t. Money may endeavour to control and hide things, but God can bring anyone down.

All I do is pray for the truth to come out as there is just so many rabbit holes, theories and speculation.

I did find myself praying for Andrew yesterday, anyone in royalty has a longer way to fall because of the privileged life style they have experienced.

I also wonder what is going on behind the scenes as this takes centre stage, distracting the people while we do things they won’t agree with or like.

I will check out the hockey, had a couple of nasty injuries over the past few days I see, ice and blades don’t mix well.

I will cheer for Canada xx

They have arrested Princess Andrew, I really hope others will follow especially in the USA, this whole network needs to tumble - I believe other countries are beginning to hold people accountable as well.

Hi Dave
Yes the greyhound Stadium is in Hove, still there. We used to go there quite a lot as well, when the children were younger. From time to time Jeff and I would go for a meal in the restaurant. They would come and collect your betting slips etc from the table. Not sure I would go there anymore as my views have changed on the whole racing environment, both with horses and dogs.
