.Because there is a lot of 'WHY" it very often develops into WHY me.Unfortunately in most cases 'why me' is a question with no answer.I write to a lady who's 'why me's' totally ruin her life, she's stuck with questions and seemingly no answers, a victim mentality rules her. The only way out of 'why me' is 'what now.'You don't heal by replaying what hurt you, you can decide to stop carrying it, what happened probably can not be undone and certainly not by continually revisiting in your mind.Is there a path forward, we accept some things , maybe a lot of things seem to have no reason. Is it possible to accept the hurt and move forward to heal??I'm sure as you read this as a christian you can fill in with scripture stuff I could have written the chapter and verse.Until she can release those hurts, there is no peace. She is also Autistic which compounds her problem. I would value any wisdom and if the Lord lays her on your heart for prayer.I sadly didn’t think anyone was posting on the forum- I usually hit ‘ unread posts since last visit ‘ and it comes up with ‘ no new posts ‘ ………and yet there have been. My grand daughter is autistic and often goes round and round in loops about things, we all do at times when we don’t understand things but usually there comes a point in time when you stop playing victim and start to want to be a survivor. However I must admit that I feel pretty fortunate in my life so how can I possibly understand what it’s like living with something that makes you question ‘ why me ‘. We all have ‘ Why ‘questions about things, and often as not it revolves around the suffering in the world, but as Christian’s we know that we don’t have all the answers but we trust in a God who does. I am so sorry Dave, no wisdom as it doesn’t matter who we are, whether we are autistic or not, we can still be full of self pity - often as not we reach a point where enough is enough and we have a desire to stop playing victim and start wanting to be a survivor, but some people just feed off the negatives in life rather than see the flip side. That’s of no use what so ever, oh dear has my older brain started to cross over to something of an attitude issue ……………………..

You're quite welcome, Dave. A few lines from a Tennyson poem. The Charge of the Light Brigade, came to mind.“Forward, the Light Brigade!”Was there a man dismayed? Not though the soldier knew Someone had blundered. Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred."Why's" are not real things anyway. You can't touch them, hear them, taste them, etc. Why's exist in our imagination. Our minds can start spinning when we start trying to imagine what plans others have for what they do. We can imagine evil where none exists. I do relate this to the temptation of Eve. She could look around the Garden. It was all good. Why suspect God didn't want her and Adam to eat of the forbidden fruit because He didn't want them to be like Him? She was imagining evil in God where none existed. Did God have a good motive for putting that tree there and telling them not to eat of it? I believe He did. Eve's first mistake then was "imagining" something in the Mind of God which wasn't true. Then she acted on her suspicion. I say God had a good motive for putting that tree there. Adam was supposed to "cleave" to Eve and hadn't done it yet. Had the two become one, they would have been able to see the world from each other's perspective. And being neither male nor female but both, they would have become more like God. Remember God created them in "His" image, both male and female. Had they become one as God intended and commanded, it would have been safe for them to eat of the "forbidden" fruit. Indeed they would have been told to eat of it.Your friend seems to be like many others in this world who try to figure out things too much. The question should not be "Why did this happen to me" but rather "What do I want to do with this situation.' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2JzHvRgyMg
